How to Jumpstart Your Confidence

We all have been denying ourselves opportunities and chances in all aspects of our life due to the fact that we are too afraid and we do not have enough self-confidence and self-esteem. We cannot keep up with a healthy relationship as we cannot afford to do things that needed to be done as we are completely shadowed by our low confidence.

Now just chill, there is no need to worry as it is quite simple to overturn this problem and this can be done by starting to be a bit more optimistic and try not to relate too much to the past including these painful memories. So let us just create a new stimuli for you to go on ahead into changing the way you see yourself and to rebuild your own confidence.

Here are 3 strategies to bring you out in a more confident way:

1. Fake it until you make it.

As we know, old is gold! This is an ancient method, but obviously it can work surprisingly well if you pitch in enough efforts. When you “pretend” that something is true, you perform a mental shift from one state to another. You are, in essence, moving yourself from one “reality” to another. While this usually won’t bring about long-lasting change, it can definitely help to put you up a notch and help you to get the feeling of how being confident is!

The next time you’re out in public, pretend you are the most confident person in the world. Imagine that you are completely secure in your own capabilities and completely accepting of yourself as a unique and valuable person.

Consider how a person with these beliefs would act, and then make an effort to act that way. Pay attention to what happens when you do; how others treat you, how you feel about yourself and so on. You may be surprised to discover just how much attitude has to do with self-confidence.

2. Affirm your good qualities.

While faking confidence can be an immediate help, you will also need to address the underlying beliefs that cause your low self-confidence if you want to create lasting change.

One good way to do this is by forming a new habit of building yourself up. Take time to acknowledge the good things you do, the achievements you’ve made in the past, and even the effort you give to something new.

Speak kindly to yourself and develop a healthy appreciation for your skills and abilities. If you stop beating yourself up because you’re not the most perfect person in the world, you’ll probably discover that you’re not half bad, either!

3.See yourself as a work in progress.

Remember that there will always be people who are more talented, smarter, braver, and better than you are in some way. If your confidence is suffering because you are trying to measure up to some impossible standard, learn to adjust your thinking a bit.

Affirm that you are a work in progress, and you get better every year. With each passing phase of your life, you grow in mastery. You are smarter than you were yesterday, better than you were last week, and more talented than you were last year.

This is a process that will continue throughout your entire life. If you can keep in mind that you’ll never be “done” growing and learning, you’ll be able to see your capabilities as ever-evolving aspects of an ever-evolving you!

Zen in our life

Sometimes it feels like the older I get, the less I know. How is this possible! We’re supposed to be getting smarter, wiser, and more fabulous as we age, right? (Okay, the part about “fabulous” might only be true for Jennifer Anniston, whose body could inspire the sequel to Benjamin Button!). But it seems like, as we age, we are bombarded with messages from advertisers, family, friends, and the media about how we should live our lives.

For instance: I’m sure your mother would do cartwheels if you were married by 25, lived within two miles of her, and granted her exactly 2.5 grandchildren. But that might not be your cup of coffee. When the world dictates how you should live your life, it can actually become harder to be true to your authentic self. In my last Something Different for Women class, we talked about aligning with the powers that be: Your True Self.

Jennifer Maculoso said: “Success will always find you when are authentic. Follow your bliss and you will always feel joy, and when you feel joy, success finds you.” It sounds like she picked up and cracked open the perfect fortune cookie.

Why do so many of us wear masks to hide our true selves? Everyone is born authentic, but as we grow up we spend too much time separating from who we are, acting like we’re something different. Acting is stressful. (Especially, when you’re bad at it like me.) Being true to who we are takes time and effort. Here are some things to help you on your way:

  • To be authentic means to find the key to happiness and success within one’s self, not within society.
  • When you live an authentic life, you are living the life that resonates with your soul! As the saying goes, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”
  • It takes courage, honesty, and a desire to be free of other’s opinions. I love the line, “What you think of me is none of my business.”
  • To be authentic, you have to stop putting other’s needs ahead of your own, and you have to stop compromising your dreams to please others.
  • Don’t be such a yenta with your friends, either! Allow them the freedom to chose their own life plan.
This is all great and dandy, but how do we get down to the core of who we really are and stay true to ourselves? Here are questions to ask:

  • What in life already makes you happy?
  • What, if added to your life, would make you happier?
  • Where do you already feel successful?
  • Does the life you are living resonate with your inner being?
  • Do you have the courage to live more authentically?
  • What habits do you need to let go of in order to be more authentic?
  • At what point, during each day, can you make time to connect with yourself?
Have an authentic moment every day. Whether it is telling your friend what she can do with her opinion of you, or directing your mother to the adopt-a-grandchild in Africa non-profit. Take a stand each day, and you’ll be happier, healthier…and attracting the life that you really want.

Strange Laws..Check this out!!

Hi there, currently I'm writing one article concerning the polarisation between the liberal and conservative ideals of a society but while I was researching for some facts, I accidentally stumbled on something that is pretty weird, strange and on top of that funny, so I'm posting for you to read it for your own entertainment but I can't guarantee the truthfulness of the post as I'm reproducing from another website which I'll give the link in case you want to refer; here you go:

Strange Sex Laws :

1. In Lebanon, men are legally allowed to have sex with animals, but the animals must be female. Having sexual relations with a male animal is punishable by death.

Life is like a box of chocolates

Forest Grump might look like a retarded person but whatever He said, was full of meanings if we apply it to our daily life, that is, ""Life Is like a Box of Chocolates... You Never Know What You're Gonna Get!"...

It might be a mere statement for some of us but if we apply it to our life, we can deduce easily that it reflects perfectly what we are experiencing nowadays.

Let us look back at our past, we had our moments of joys, sadness, happiness, sorrows but no matter, how depressed we were, somehow

Love? Or Being In Love?

The Experience Of Being In Love Is Not Love At All

Lots of couples end up in the marriage therapist’s office every day. But hardly ever does someone end up there who actually understands what love is. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it is rare for anyone to ever end up in any therapist’s office who actually understands what love is.

There is within each of us an inherent desire to love and to be loved. But if we are ignorant as to what actually constitutes love, then how will we ever hope to know whether what is happening between us and another person is actually love?

People Are Stupid

People Are Stupid
 By Mr LifeSucks :)

If you ask people why they do the things they do in life, they will give you sensible
sounding reasons which seem to explain their decisions. We like to believe that we
exercise sound judgement, especially in the important decisions of our lives. I think that this is rarely true. I think that standard operating procedure for human decision making is to do what feels right to you at the time, and then to give logical sounding justifications for what you were already going to do anyway, whether you had
justifications or not.

Cut The Crap!!!

Hi people, I didn't blog for a long time because I've choosen not to :) but I am back now, so sit back and let me talk you into some nonsenses,ok? Ready? Here we go...

Remember when you are extremly hungry, and you have not eaten for a long time, the only feeling you feel is hunger and the only thing you are looking forward to is "FOOD". This keeps you motivated to keep going, no matter how frustrating that can be as you have something you are looking forward to. On the other hand, you have just eaten food soo much and you are so full that you can not even walk properly, at that moment if someone will present you with a nice hot plate of your favourite food, you will not be able to take, you might even puke as you have more than enough
 of it.

Is your daily routine starting to get too predictable?

A new semester starting, a new beginning where you live your life for the next several months with the same timings everyday, the same routine. It can be very easy for people who live by the standards of most people, that is, following the trends and the ways of the majority as it is logical for them that; this is the right way to go about.

Fortunately not me, as I've learned throughout my experiences is that life is what we make of it, and not what other people decide for us to be life. I can't disagree that in some contexts, it is mostly better to follow the mass crowd but when it concerns your life and the way you live, I think you can decide that on your own if you are not in any ways neglecting the social norms which would eventually turn you in a social outcast if you persist.

Wondering Who's Got The Action Again?

Bored again, hence blogging a bit to take out the inner stress. You guys already know that life isn't that wonderful for me right now, I don't know but something really fishy must be missing as I'm feeling extremely drained and sleepy. No matter how much caffeine I'm engulfing in this body of mine, I end up sleeping. It seemed that my bed and me have become best buddies lately.

Today I went for a meeting at ISD for the coming Eid program, and guess what? I ended up with the special task role, designing posters-banners etc.. Duh who said guys can't be creative enough, huh? Now I'm stuck with a Tuesday deadline to submit these and I've another meeting for a seminar on Monday. Right now I am feeling the urge of running away with all these stress and go hide in a chalet where no one can find me. But wait a second!!?

Isn't it me who's putting me in such stressful schedule? On top I've to run my ass red during rugby training.. Pfff soo much responsibilities at such a young age will make my arteries burst sooner or later. Well I would advice myself to slow down but somehow I'm a very stubborn guy. Having a stressful schedule and life is becoming so boring and just like a military routine doesn't combine with a nomadic guy like me, i mean for the meantime. Hell I want to get a job and start earning some real bucks like before! Fate doesn't smile at you all the time so you need to learn about realities the hard ways. Guess the only moment I feel relaxed is when I'm listening to "Painted Memories" and trying to grind the song from my acoustic guitar. Don't ask me, I'm no good but it makes me happy hearing my roomates shouting after every 5mins :"Shut the fuck up dude"! " Go play your rattle drum outside".

Why Best Friends Are Better Than BF/GF!??

1. You don’t have to call them every day, just to let them know you’re not fighting

2. You don’t have an anniversary–you just sort of “became” best friends.

3. When someone calls your girlfriend/boyfriend your “partner” it makes you think of marriage. When they call your best friend your partner, it’s more like cops.

4. You never have to touch your best friend when it’s hot outside, but you can still huddle close when it’s freezing.

5. Your parents usually like your best friend.

6. Your best friend doesn’t care if you get fat, you’re ugly, or if you get a bard haircut.

7. You don’t have to get jealous of “girls only” night or “guys only” night — You’re part of it!

8. You can laugh at your best friend with no consequences.

9. You can burp/fart in front of your best friend on any occasion.

10. You can plan on still having a relationship with your best friend in 20 years.

11. Never in your life will you need “space” from your best friend.

12. Your best friend won’t be mad if you want some time alone, and will only ask you “what’s wrong?” once.

13. Your best friend is someone you get in trouble with; your boyfriend/girlfriend is someone you get in trouble with if you get in trouble.

14. You don’t have to get dressed up to go anywhere with your best friend.

15. You’re allowed to have multiple best friends.

16. No one ever spreads rumors or talks about you and your best friend’s relationship.

17. Borrowing any amount of money from your best friend is okay, no questions asked.

18. Your best friend will never refer to you as “the ball and chain,” “the old lady/man,” or “the whip.”

19. No one is ever trying to fix you up on blind dates for a new best friend.

20. It doesn’t matter what your “other” friends think about your best friend.

21. Your best friend is the first person you call when you get a new boyfriend/girlfriend, and when you break up with them.
